Stainless steel coiled tubing is a long unthreaded tubing that is wound on a reel and can be run continuously or pulled out from an oil well. Stainless steel coiled tubing can also be called flexible tubing, serpentine tubing, coiled tubing, and flexible tubing. The longest single root can reach 9000 meters.
The operation with stainless steel coiled tubing was originally used to run into the production tubing to complete specific workover operations, such as well washing and fishing.
Until the 1990s, the coiled tubing operation device has been known as “universal operation equipment”. This kind of coiled tubing has the characteristics of safety and reliability, saving time and cost.
Today, stainless steel coiled tubing has been widely used in oil and gas field stimulation, workover, drilling, completion, logging and other operations.
